    Sitka police logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
December 30
    DOT asked police to cite vehicles parked overtime at the airport.
    A vehicle was towed, after it was left parked on private property off Lincoln Street and the owner left town.
    At 3:40 p.m. a resident reported a man sleeping in a church doorway and expressed concern because he had a stroller, and perhaps a child in the stroller. It turned out to contain the man’s personal items, not a child, police said.
December 31
    At 1:50 a.m. a caller asked for police help with an intoxicated sibling, who was taken to the hospital after police talked to the person.
    At 3:30 a.m. police called a veterinarian after a dog that appeared to have been hit was found in the middle of the road at Lakeview and HPR. The vet responded immediately to treat the dog.

    Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 7:22 a.m. and 10:16 p.m. Monday.
