Dear Editor: How does a person thank an entire community for sharing their thoughts, prayers, love, time and money?
It feels like an impossible task. Please accept this attempt at fulfilling this impossible task: these last few months have been an emotional and physical roller coaster for both Kirk and me. We have experienced the lows of failed surgeries, optimism of surgeries to come, but most importantly the highs of being lifted by an entire community.
Neither of us would have been able to handle all that we have been through, in the way that we have, without your support. Kirk will be returning to Seattle at the end of this month for what we are hoping will be the final two surgeries. We have been so touched by the never-ending support that we continue to receive. Thank you, thank you, thank you. With all our love.
