At 5:05 a.m. a caller reported seeing a security light flashing at a neighbor’s home in the DeArmond Street area. It was found the light bulb was flashing because it was burning out.

A caller said he’d called police in Texas about his missing daughter and was told to contact Sitka police about the matter. Sitka police gave assistance.

At 9:18 p.m. a driver in the 1400 block of HPR was given a verbal warning about speeding, and at 9:26 p.m. another driver in the area was given a verbal warning about no taillights.

Bradley Ross, 27, was charged Wednesday with driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license, and avoidance of a required ignition interlock device.

Warrant Issued

The state issued a $1,500 arrest warrant Wednesday for Jack L. Joseph, 33, for failure to report to his probation officer as set in conditions of release in a 2021 theft charge.

Anyone with information on Joseph’s whereabouts is asked to call the Sitka Police Department at 907 747-3245 or the anonymous Crime Line at 907 747-8980.
