Police Blotter
The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.
February 22
At 6:50 a.m. a cell phone found near the O’Connell Bridge was turned in at the police station, and placed in the lost property drawer.
At 2:30 p.m. police responded to a request from the Child Advocacy Center.
At 10 p.m. a woman was trespassed from a motel after refusing to leave.
At 7:08 p.m. a caller asked for a welfare check on a person in the 400 block of Lake Street. Police asked the person to call the caller.
At 10:53 p.m. a caller reported hearing what sounded like someone trying to break into a building in the 400 block of Lake Street. Police found nothing criminal had occurred.
At 11:29 p.m. a security check was made at the Starrigavan boat launch.
February 23
At 2 a.m. a security check was made at Harbor Mountain Road and HPR.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Wednesday.
At 12:19 a.m. today an automatic alarm went off at a lodge. The alarm was reset.
