No Water Sales
Dear Editor: In regard to Sitka bulk water sales contracts: DO NOT sell, for a mere pittance, today, that which we may desperately need in the future. Climate change is real.
Florian Sever, Sitka
Grateful
Dear Editor: I wish to commend the plow driver clearing the O’Connell Bridge earlier this week.
I was walking on the sidewalk approaching the crest of the bridge when I spotted the oncoming plow, throwing a wall of slushy snow onto the sidewalk. I was bracing myself for a cold shower when the driver lifted the blade just in time, lowering it again after passing me, thereby sparing me a soaking.
Showing a concern for other people.
Behavior we could all appreciate in these trying times.
