Police Blotter
Sitka Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
February 27
The harbor department asked to renew a criminal trespass notice on a man sleeping in the ANB Harbor restrooms. He left before police arrived.
A man was heard yelling to himself at 11:23 a.m. on Lincoln Street. He left the area.
At 4:54 p.m. a 911 caller said her son was kicking her out of the house, and tossing her belongings outside. Police said it was a civil issue.
A wallet found in the middle of SMC was picked up and turned in to police, who returned it to the owner.
A caller requested EMS for his wife, who had injured her ankle.
Police responded to a report of an assault, and made an arrest.
February 28
At 12:54 a.m. a resident reported being kept up by a noisy neighbor on Lance Drive. Police arrived about a half hour later, by which time all was quiet.
At 6 a.m. a resident complained about a vehicle blocking traffic at Smith Street and SMC. Officers found the vehicle had run out of gas, and the owners planned to push it out of the roadway, police said.
Sitka Police
Triska See, 34, was arrested on a warrant Thursday for murder in the second degree, manslaughter, assault in the third degree and driving under the influence. (See story, Page 1.)
Kasi Heim, 40, was cited Thursday for failing to have a valid license.
Joselito Vidad, 57, was arrested Thursday on a charge of assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department rfeceived ambulance calls at 7:58 p.m. and 9:44 p.m. Thursday and 6:42 a.m. today.
Coast Guard
A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter on Thursday medevacked a 67-year-old Hoonah man with heart attack symptoms to Juneau.
