    The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
February 6
    At 10:08 a.m. a driver reported a possible issue of road rage. She said she’d noticed she was traveling about 10 mph under the speed limit on HPR and sped up. A Jeep ran up on her then followed her, fishtailing, onto Bahovec Court, she said.
    A student asked for a welfare check on his mother, who was home sick and had recently been fired, and had made a comment alarming him when he left for school. Officers contacted the mother and found she was in good spirits and didn’t want to harm herself.
    A Finn Alley resident said a driver had backed into his fence again, which keeps happening. Another resident said she would speak with her visitors and that it wouldn’t happen again.
    At 4 p.m. the court asked that an officer stand by during  a DV hearing.
    A girls bike was reported left in the 1300 block of SMC for five months.
    A caller said a homeless man had set up camp on Tlinget Way and had taken her empty trash can. The man went to the police station and said he hadn’t known someone else pays for the can. He said he’d put leaves in it then dumped them out, and hadn’t put any trash in the empty can.
    At 11:48 p.m. a bar said a customer was being rude and refusing to leave after multiple requests. After police arrived he agreed to leave.
February 7
    At 1:33 a.m. a facility said an employee who had been relieved of duty was refusing to leave. After officers arrived, the employee agreed to leave.

In Court
    Ty Walker Davis, 23, on a Jan. 27 charge of criminal trespass in the second degree, upon premises, was sentenced to 10 days, suspended. On a charge of violating conditions of release he was sentenced to 10 days with five suspended, and placed on probation for a year. On a Jan. 13 charge of  concealing merchandise under $250 in value,  he was sentenced to five days, suspended, and put on probation for a year. On a Dec. 31, 2018, charge of criminal trespass in the second degree, upon premises, he was sentenced to 10 days with eight suspended, and put on probation for a year. Charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree, possession; misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree, possession near a school;  theft in the fourth degree; and criminal trespass in the second degree, upon premises, were dismissed.
    Mark Binas Manuel, 31, on a charge of violating conditions of release was sentenced to one day. On a Nov. 16, 2018, charge of driving under the influence (alcohol or other controlled substance), a Class A misdemeanor, was sentenced to 120 days with 100 days suspended and ordered to complete treatment. His license was suspended for a year, and for 12 months after driving privileges are restored he is to have an ignition interlock device on his vehicle. He is to be on probation for two years. On a charge of reckless endangerment he was sentenced to 30 days with 15 days suspended. The sentences are to be consecutive. Charges of refusal to submit to a breath test and reckless driving were dismissed without prejudice.
