Police Blotter
The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.
February 6
At 8:11 a.m. a door was found open on a home on Osprey Street. Officers secured the building.
At 3:11 p.m. information was received about possible drug distribution.
At 3:43 p.m. a caller said a driver was speeding in the area of DeGroff Street and SMC. Officers were advised.
At 3:55 p.m. a hit and run was reported at the airport main parking area. A vehicle was damaged.
A caller reported harassment at Sealing Cove, but the complaint was unfounded, police said.
Possible DUI cases were reported at 4:33 p.m. at SMC and Price Street, and at 5:16 p.m. in the 1400 block of HPR. Both proved to be unfounded, police said.
Assault cases were reported at 4:39 p.m. at Eagle Beach, and at 11:54 p.m. at the library. Both cases proved to be unfounded, police said.
At 9:33 p.m. juveniles were reported hanging out at Moller ball field. Police found nothing criminal.
At 11:32 p.m. a caller complained of loud noise at a downtown hotel. Police asked the noise-makers to be quieter.
Sitka Police
Matthew Rice, 18, was charged Sunday with minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol, and with reckless endangerment, furnishing alcohol to a minor.

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls on Monday.
