Police Blotter
The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
February 7
A Kramer Avenue resident said his home had been burglarized and items stolen.
A feral cat was euthanized.
A caller reported having concerns that a couple staying at a B&B might be violating a domestic violence order. Officers found the DVO had been dissolved a few days before.
A woman said a caller told her she’d won several thousand dollars from the Publishers Clearing House and someone would be stopping by her house at 2:30 p.m. to collect $235 from her. She did not give the caller any information and will report the phone number to iC3.gov.
At 12:32 p.m. a 911 caller said a branch had fallen onto a power line at 5200 HPR, causing flames and smoke.
At 2:22 p.m. a caller in the 1300 block of SMC said a van had been parked outside her home for four hours. An officer made contact with the driver, who said he’d move the vehicle.
A man having a heart attack at a hotel was taken to a hospital.
A woman who had fallen and hit her head and hip was taken to a hospital.
February 8
At 2:30 a.m. a caller said his significant other had come at him with a knife, at his residence, and also threatened to slash his car tires. Officers were shown a video of the woman holding a closed folding blade knife that she was threatening the caller with. The caller said he wanted the woman to leave, so she packed her belongings. The caller said she could leave her auto in the driveway overnight as it had a mechanical issue, and he didn’t want to press charges. At 5:18 a.m. he called again to say the woman was threatening to break in his windows, and he wanted her removed from his property. Officers were unable to locate her, and advised the caller of his options.
In Court
Jacob Dallas Strubbe, 37, was found guilty of Fish & Game general fishing seasons and periods violations in June 2017 and fined $3,000 with $2,500 suspended and placed on probation for a year. He was to have forfeited one coho.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 12:25 p.m., 7:29 p.m. and 10:52 p.m. Thursday.
