Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

February 8

At 10 a.m. a man said he was being harassed at his workplace on Japonski Island and wanted to know what his options were. And officer spoke with  him.

A wallet was found at Petro Marine. The owner was contacted and was to pick it up at the police station.

At 5:08 p.m. a couple was reported arguing in the 1300 block of SMC. Officers found nothing criminal had occurred.

At 6 p.m. a caller said a man was outside her apartment screaming. Officers talked to the two and no further action was taken.

At 6:20 p.m. a caller said a Jeep was being driven recklessly on HPR and had no lights on. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

February 9

At 6:26 a.m. a driver who was speeding on Harbor Drive was given a verbal warning.

 

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls on Tuesday.

 

In Court

Porter Treadway, 39, was sentenced Feb. 3 to 10 years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to a drug conspiracy charge.

The charge stems from a March 2018 drug trafficking case in which Treadway and six others were accused of federal drug conspiracy charges. The other six were sentenced December 8.
