Dear Editor: Armstrong-Keta, Inc. (AKI) is deeply saddened by the loss of Ben Le, who served as a Hatchery Technician at the Port Armstrong Hatchery for the past year. Le was reported missing on Monday, August 10, and, as announced by Alaska State Troopers, was located deceased on Wednesday, August 12. His next of kin have been notified.
Le was a valued member of the Port Armstrong Hatchery team and a friend to many within our organization and community. His loss is deeply felt by our staff, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and all those who knew him. We are grateful to the personnel and agencies who assisted in the search and response, and we appreciate the concern and support expressed by our friends, neighbors, and community during this difficult time.
Any additional information regarding the circumstances of Le’s death will be provided by the appropriate authorities as it becomes available. AKI asks that everyone respect Le’s family’s privacy as they grieve this loss.
