Intro to Aviation Camp to Register

Registration for City and Borough of Sitka Parks and Recreation’s ‘‘Sky’s the Limit – Intro to Aviation’’ summer camp will open noon Wednesday, May 7, at http://recreation.cityofsitka.com.

Youths in seventh grade and up will learn about aerodynamics, airspace, navigation and communication from ground school instructor and private pilot Jack Davis.

Activities include hands-on practice with flight simulators and field trips. The class will be held 1-4 p.m. July 7-10 at Blatchley Middle School.

The program is $65. Scholarships are available and should be applied for  prior to registering.
