Writing Workshops
Dear Editor: It gives me great pleasure to thank several organizations who have helped Kettleson Memorial Library offer two writing workshops with more to come. Without the support of the Sitka Charitable Trust, SheeAtika Corporation, Friends of the Library, Mt. Edgecumbe High School, and Sitka High School we would not have been able to offer these workshops to any interested writer in Sitka.
The two visiting Alaskan writers, Ned Rozell and most recently, Dan Henry, provided inspiration and instruction to all comers. In addition, they both appeared on The Library Show on Raven Radio as well as giving afternoon talks at the library, “Twenty Things You Never Knew about Alaska” and “In search of Louis Shotridge and the Quest for the Tlingit Crown Jewels,” respectively.
Thank you all very much and we hope to be able to continue this series.
