January 11, 2023, Police Blotter

The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

January 10

A found property call came in at 10:23 a.m. from the O’Connell Bridge.

An animal call came in at 12:17 p.m. from the Harbor Mountain bypass and Kramer Avenue area.

Property was reported found at the ANB Harbor at 12:43 p.m.

An animal all came in from Lifesaver Drive at 1:25 p.m.

A welfare check was requested at 3:13 p.m. in the 400 block of Lake Street.

At 6:51 p.m. a caller reported a hit and run at 100 Smith Street, with damage done to a parked Subaru. Police opened a case on the incident.

 

Sitka Police

Scott Thomas, 28, and Jacquelyn Gravley-Wehnes, 32, were charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance in the second degree Tuesday afternoon.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received four ambulance calls Tuesday.

  

Trial Court

The Alaska Trial Court has ordered the following to attend a hearing at the Sitka courthouse at 9 a.m. Jan. 30 to explain why they failed to appear for jury service for the January, February and March 2023 term:
