The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

January 11

At 11:49 a.m. citizen contact was made in the 400 block of Lake Street.

At 4:50 p.m. a caller reported his truck had been damaged in a hit and run accident in the 1800 block of HPR. Police opened a case on the accident.

At 7:30 p.m. a teenager was reported to have run away from home again. Police sent out notices.

An animal  call came in from Eliason Harbor at 8:21 p.m.

At 9:47 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Burkhart Drive.

 

Sitka Police

Matfie Mccar, 42, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday on a petition to revoke probation. He was charged Jan. 23, 2020,  with assault in the second degree, assault in the fourth degree, and criminal mischief in the fifth degree.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Wednesday.

 

Coast Guard

A Coast Guard Air Station helicopter on Tuesday medevacked a 61-year-old Pelican man with heart attack symptoms, to Sitka.

The first call came in at 7:30 p.m., the helicopter launched soon after and returned to Sitka with the patient within two hours, the Coast Guard said. He was taken to Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center for further care, the Coast Guard said.
