    The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
Jan. 15
    At 7:31 a.m. a broken water main was reported on Monastery Street.
    Police helped with an EMS call in which two were taken to the hospital from HPR.
    A grocery store employee asked to sign a criminal trespass form against an individual.
    A social service agency reported having trouble getting a client to leave. He and the staff came to an agreement for him to take his food to go and not return for the day.
    At 11:50 p.m. a resident complained about people screaming out of their car windows up Peterson Street to the high school.
    A fire alarm went off at a hotel at 12:27 p.m.
    At 1:25 p.m. a dump truck lost a wheel in the 2100 block of SMC and was moved out of the road.
    At 2:34 p.m. police conducted a welfare check on a man who fell out of his wheelchair in the 700 block of HPR. He was fine and able to get himself back in, officers said.
    At 7:56 p.m. a resident reported a suspicious man, possibly involved in a drug deal, and acting strangely on Granite Creek Road. Police talked to the man who agreed to calm down and stay near his residence.
Jan. 16
    At 1:39 a.m. a vehicle went into a ditch, and the airbags deployed, in the 1900 block of HPR. The driver was gone, and police left a message for him or her.
    At 4:33 a.m. a resident called police because she was having trouble sleeping, then began to get angry on the phone. Police responded.

    Emergency Calls

    The Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 8:15 a.m. and 1:28 p.m. Tuesday.
    At 12:26 p.m. Tuesday a fire alarm was triggered by a broken sprinkler at 201 Katlian Street.
    At 3:11 a.m. today a fire truck was sent to 601 Alice Loop Road on a false alarm.
