    The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
December 31
    A man who had passed out at ANB Harbor was arrested.
    A caller said $300 was missing from her home.
    At 2:31 p.m. an upset man throwing items around the court left as officers arrived.
    At 4 p.m. a man was reported setting off fireworks on Lake Street. He denied it and was advised of consequences.
    At 7 p.m. a caller said fireworks were being set off on Vitskari and she feared her canvas roof might catch fire.
    A bartender said a patron might decide to drive while intoxicated. Officers found no such person in the area.
    Gunshots were reported at 11:16 p.m. in the 700 block of SMC.
January 1
    An unruly woman was reported refusing to leave a bar at 12:17 a.m. She talked to police and agreed to leave.
    An intoxicated person was arrested after being combative at a bar.
    At 3 a.m. a very large bear was seen in the 4700 block of HPR.
    A taxi driver said his phone was stolen. Police helped retrieve the phone, using the location app.
    At 10:40 p.m. a caller said a man who wasn’t supposed to be in her home and drinking when he wasn’t supposed to. He left before officers arrived.
    A pickup was reported missing from the 100 block of Granite Creek Road.
    A Rottweiler named Kida reportedly ran off from the 1600 block of SMC.
    A resident called 911 for his mother.
    A caller said her friend’s dog ran off after fireworks scared it, in the 2100 block of HPR.
    A black wallet was found.
    A restaurant worker signed a criminal trespass against a person.
    A resident lost a rose gold ring with diamonds on Edgecumbe Drive.

    Sitka Police
   
    Byron Kashevarof, 35, was charged Monday with violating release conditions, for allegedly consuming alcohol.
    Austin M. Fitka, 19, was cited Monday for being a minor in possession, driving in violation of an instructional permit, expired registration and no proof of insurance.
    Nicholi A. Littlefield, 34, was charged with felony driving under the influence, and cited for driving with a revoked license.
    Lauren N. Petush, 25, was charged Tuesday with disorderly conduct, harassment in the first degree and resisting arrest.
    Shawn Beauchamp, 22, was cited Tuesday for not having a valid operator’s license and no proof of insurance.
    Caleb Suarez, 20, was cited for minor consuming, and a 16-year-old girl was cited for failing to follow instructions on a provisional license,
 
    Coast Guard

    A Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter medevacked an unresponsive patient Tuesday from Pelican to Sitka.
    The 60-year-old man had been admitted to the Pelican clinic after he was unresponsive for unknown reasons, the Coast Guard said. He was flown in stable condition to Sitka, and picked up by a local EMS crew.



Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department received five ambulance calls Monday and seven on Tuesday, New Year’s Day.
