    Sitka police logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:
December 31
    Police faxed a domestic violence order to Juneau to be served.
    The owner of a vehicle parked on Indian River Road’s bike path was called. The housesitter was to move it.
    At 7:50 p.m. an Indian River area resident complained fireworks had been going off for four hours. A neighbor said the fireworks were over; they had been set off early so the kids could see them and neighbors wouldn’t be bothered late at night.
    A dog on Price Street was dropped off at the shelter about 8 p.m..
    At 9:30 p.m. a resident who purchased liquor may have given it to under-age people, police were advised. All were gone before officers arrived.
    At 10:50 p.m. a caller said a neighbor may have been setting off an alarm as a New Year’s Eve celebration. The neighbor denied it.
    At 11 p.m. a caller said an electric blue car drove down Verstovia Street, and a bottle was broken on the street. The caller cleaned up the mess.
Jan. 1
    At 12:22 a.m. a caller said his dog, Mr. Darcy, had gone missing from the Thomas Young Street neighborhood. A resident told the Sentinel today that the dog had gotten frightened of the fireworks, and had run away, but came back in the middle of the night.
    At 1:53 a.m. a caller said people on foot were setting off fireworks, at Knutson and SMC. Police picked up casings in the roadway.
    At 3 a.m. a caller said she’d had too much to drink and didn’t feel comfortable staying with her aunt. Police gave the caller a ride home.
    At 7 a.m. harbors was notified a fishing boat was hanging on by a line.
    At 7:31 a.m. a man said a woman was threatening him and refusing to leave his home. She left in a friend’s vehicle.
    A man asked police for his sister’s number to call her about a family member in the hospital. He said he hadn’t talked to his sister in 15 years. Police passed a message on to the sister to call the man.
    Police cited vehicles parked at the airport for more than seven days.
    At 10:50 p.m. a caller said a limping shepherd-type dog headed toward Magic Island may have been  hit by a car.
    At 11 p.m. a caller reported faulty gas pumps at a self-serve fuel station. Police left a message for the business manager.
January 2
    At 4:20 a.m. a caller said icy roads lead him to nearly end up in a ditch in the 3000 block of HPR. He said he was going about 25 mph. The dispatcher called DOT.
   
Sitka Police
    George Bennett, 40, was arrested early Wednesday on a charge of driving under the influence.
    Cheryl M. Neyman-Felix, 58, was charged Wednesday with driving under the influence, refusal to submit to a breath test, resisting arrest and assault in the fourth degree (on a peace officer).
   
Marriages
    The following applied for marriage license in December:
    Mohamed Azman Bin Mohamed Ameerali Marican and Izabella Zora Powers.
    No divorces were granted in December.
   
Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 12:56 and 3:34 p.m. Tuesday; 12:09 a.m. Wednesday; and 9:42 a.m. today.
