Police Blotter
The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
January 22
A 2008 Ford Mustang was reported left parked at the Keet ball fields for a couple of nights, and a blue 1996 Chevrolet, a white 1987 Ford, a 1991 Chevrolet, a white 2000 Ford, a tan 2004 Chevy Impala, and a green 1997 Dodge Caravan were reported abandoned at Crescent Harbor.
A caller said a light bar had been stolen from his boat at 475 Katlian.
A caller asked to speak with an officer regarding suspicious activity.
A caller said a child is at her grandmother’s home, where meth is being used. The child was at pre-school when an officer arrived.
At 1:36 p.m. a caller said a man had violated a criminal trespass order and been in a store. Officers will forward charges of theft, criminal trespass and violation of conditions of release to the ADA’s office.
A caller asked for police assistance while he contacts people who may be stripping a boat. The people said they were cleaning the boat and the harbor master allowed them on the docks.
A domestic violence order was received and was to be served.
At 6:37 p.m. a highly intoxicated man was reported in a store lobby at 705 HPR. He was taken to a hospital.
At 7:31 p.m. a caller said a woman at the airport had a possibly dislocated foot. She was taken to a hospital.
At 7:38 p.m. a man who was bleeding from his forearm and seemed disoriented was reported at a restaurant. He was taken to a hospital.
At 8:13 p.m. a 911 caller said fireworks were being set off near DeGroff Street. An officer talked to a group having a party and told them they would be cited if more complaints came in.
At 11 p.m. a 911 caller said her husband had taken her child. An officer contacted the parents and found the child was safe and warm.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 6:57 p.m., 7:32 p.m., 7:40 p.m. and 10:53 p.m. Tuesday.
