    The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
January 24
    A caller asked for EMS for her son, who wasn’t feeling well.
    At 10 a.m. the courts asked that an officer stand by for an Office of Child Services hearing. A woman was escorted out of the court room.
    At 10:29 a.m. a caller said she believes her ex is violating a court-ordered contact judgment. An officer spoke with her, and advised her he would give the man a call to tell him not to contact her for anything other than what is laid out in the court order.
    At 12:35 p.m. police received an anonymous tip of a needle in a Price Street parking lot. An officer retrieved it and disposed of it.
    At 2 p.m. a white Great Pyranees dog was reported in the middle of the road in the 2700 block of SMC. The dog was released into the care of a hiker, who had been walking it.
    A caller said she believes her ex stole her phone. An officer advised her of her options.
    A caller said he’d found a handgun in some old luggage he’d been looking through at his home, and he didn’t think it was his. He gave it to police.
    A 17-year-old reported to be intoxicated and trying to attack a relative was cited for minor consuming.
    At 9:18 p.m. a caller said four large trucks heading inbound were taking up both lanes of travel, and the caller said he had to go into the shoulder of the road to avoid a collision. Police gave the drivers verbal warnings.
    January 25
    At 12:36 a.m. a caller said a man in her residence was demanding she let him in her storage unit. Officers collected jewelry and other items for safe-keeping.
    At 3:27 a.m. a Lake Street caller complained about banging and really loud music at a neighbor’s. Offices were unable to make contact with the neighbor and couldn’t find the source of the noise.
