Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
January 26
At 12:12 a.m. a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of Harbor Drive.
At 1:34 a.m. a welfare check was requested in the 2700 block of SMC.
At 2:02 a.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 1300 block of HPR.
At 2:22 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on HPR. No exact address was given.
A domestic problem was reported on Andrews Street at 8:28 a.m.
Suspicious activity was reported at 1:14 p.m. on the Baranof Street Cross Trail.
At 2:29 p.m. a welfare check was requested in the 1300 block of SMC.
A welfare check was pursued on Mt. Verstovia after a caller had reported seeing an irregular light, at 5:01 a.m. Police found it was caused by snow-boarders.
At 5:43 p.m. a caller reported receiving threatening texts.
Suspicious activity was reported in the 3500 block of HPR at 7:17 p.m.
A security check was requested at ANB Harbor at 9:35 p.m., a welfare check was requested in the 200 block of Katlian at 9:51 p.m.; and disorderly conduct was reported in the same area at 10:13 p.m.
A welfare check was requested at 10:08 p.m. in the 3700 block of HPR.
Sitka Police
Joseph J. Williams, 44, was charged Tuesday with violating conditions of release.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received six ambulance calls Tuesday.
