    The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
January 28
    At 7:47 a.m. a 911 caller asked for help getting a woman to a hospital.
    A set of keys was turned in.
    At 12:34 p.m. a caller said a car full of high schoolers was being driven  recklessly, with a boy hanging on to the bumper.
    The Raptor Center was notified an eagle had been electrocuted by a power line at Olga and Katlian streets.
    At 1:36 p.m. a student was found unconscious outside Kuspic Hall at Mt. Edgecumbe High School.
    A wallet with cash was found in the 800 block of SMC.
    At 3:14 p.m. a caller reported loud popping and smoke coming out of a transformer at Hirst and Lake. The electric department responded.
    At 5:08 p.m. a man said a woman refused to get out of his car and was being verbally abusive, in the 200 block of Lincoln Street. When police arrived, the woman agreed to leave the area.
    At 8:14 p.m. police checked on a woman reported crying near the library. A man and woman told police they were fine, and just needed to work some things out.
    At 8:34 p.m. harbor staff said a man was refusing to leave the ANB Harbor restrooms. He left before police arrived.

    Sitka Police

    Michael Eggers, 37, was cited Monday for failing to have a valid driver’s license.

    Emergency Calls

    Sitka Fire Department dispatched ambulances at 1:36 p.m. and 4:54 p.m. Monday and 9:53 a.m. today.
    At 3:18 p.m. Monday a fire truck was sent to 404 Hirst Street on a report of a smoking transformer, but there was no fire, the fire hall said.

    In Court

    Michael A. Kurtz, 71, was fined $3,000 for causing 300 to 1,000 pounds of herring to be wasted on March 22, 2015. Kurtz was the permit holder on the F/V Nicholas Michael.

    Grand Jury
    Nicholai A. Littlefield, 34, was indicted Thursday by a grand jury on two counts of felony driving under the influence. Court records said Littlefield drove while intoxicated Dec. 31 and Jan. 24, after having been convicted of DUI two or more times in the last 10 years.
