Sitka Police
Sitka Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today.
January 28
At 4 p.m. a 911 caller said two men appeared to be getting into cars parked on a police lot. While on the phone the caller said the two were leaving in an older model truck.
At 5:13 p.m. a 911 caller said a woman in pajamas and a bathrobe was walking in the roadway in the 1000 block of HPR, talking to herself. An officer made contact with her and provided transportation.
At 5:18 p.m. a caller reported the front door of her ex-husband’s house was open. An officer found the door open but the house was clear and everything appeared fine. He noted the door was having trouble latching in the wind.
At 5:36 p.m. a caller said a vehicle was disabled in the road on a blind curve in the 2400 block of SMC, and the flashers were faint. Officers moved it out the road.
At 5:44 p.m. a caller on Alice Island said a dog was being let off its leash. It once rushed her, playfully but ignoring commands. It now had come onto her deck and become aggressive toward her cats.
At 7:47 p.m. a caller said people were trying to poison him and pepper spray him. He declined medical attention, but officers determined he wasn’t able to care for himself, and took him to the hospital.
January 29
At 6:16 a.m. a caller in the 2700 block of HPR complained of neighbors’ loud music. An officer talked to a man, who agreed to lower the volume.

Donald R. Kubik, 51, was charged Tuesday with driving while his license was revoked.
Emergency Calls
For the second day in a row, Sitka Fire Department received no ambulance calls Tuesday.
