Police Blotter
The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
January 29
A 911 caller said her dad was very angry and yelling at her. Officers found no signs of a crime.
At 10 a.m. a caller in the 2500 block of SMC said her Great Pyrenees dog named Samson hadn’t been seen since 5 a.m. The ACO was notified.
Raven Radio said a bike has been in its bike shed for a couple of months. Police contacted the owner, who said he’d left town and would like to surrender the bike to the police department.
A caller said a truck had been sitting in the Thimbleberry parking lot in the 2700 block of SMC since Jan. 6.
A caller said a fraudulent check was transferred to her daughter’s account through a mobile deposit.
A couple reported a theft that had occurred last week.
A domestic violence order was to be served.
At 4:17 p.m. a driver reported hitting a deer in the 1000 block of SMC and it was blocking traffic. Multiple other calls came in about the problem. The deer carcass was donated to the Raptor Center.
At 5 p.m. a caller said a group of eagles seemed to be hurting a small injured eagle at the entrance of Mt. Edgecumbe High at Seward Avenue and Tongass Drive. The Raptor Center was notified and responded.
A caller said a relative was saying he was going to try to overdose. Officers found no evidence of a possible suicide. Because of his behavior toward officers, the man was given a disorderly conduct warning.
January 30
At 8:38 a.m. a caller said a 2000 Toyota in the airport parking lot hadn’t been moved in a few days. A message was left for the registered owner to have the car moved.
In Court
A charge of driving under the influence filed against Rene Sanchez Jr., 33, was dismissed without prejudice.
Charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree and violating conditions of release filed against Kasper A. Harvey, 30, were dismissed without prejudice.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 7:53 a.mm., 12:07 p.m., 2:43 p.m. and 3:44 p.m. Tuesday, and 6:42 a.m. today.
