Dunleavy Petition
Dear Editor: We are looking forward to signing the Recall Dunleavy petitions here in Sitka – that will put his governorship to a vote and we may send him packing. We are not alone, all over the state people are joining us.
The latest poll I could find was from July 2019 and showed, “low 31 percent approval rating.” The other 70 percent think he is destroying the state. He is completely dismantling the Alaska Marine Highway System, stranding communities with no service. I urge those in Sitka who feel his leadership is completely wrong to take the opportunity to send him back to wherever he came from, but not to Juneau.
Make no mistake, his destruction of the state educational system speaks clearly to his lack of understanding of one of, if the not the best, economic drivers we have. It is an attitude of “I got mine, too bad for you.”
Oh yes, let’s not forget the billionaires who support him, and don’t live in Alaska, paying for his campaign. This is about Alaska and the people who live here, not his outside supporters who he kowtows to.
