January 27
At 2:17 p.m. a woman reported her parked vehicle had been hit in the 500 block of Lake Street.
Property was reported found in the 2000 block of SMC.
Someone reported hearing he was to be the target of an assault.
At 5:06 p.m. a caller reported a small child without an adult was outside in the area of Peterson Avenue and Edgecumbe Drive. Officers did not see the child.
At 11 p.m. several vehicles were reported near the Kimsham ball fields. Officers spoke to juveniles and told them not to park there.
January 28
At 1:58 a.m. a caller reported a woman had been touched inappropriately at a downtown bar. The woman told police that had not happened.
At 10:20 a.m. an employee who had been terminated by a business on SMC was reported back on the premises. He was trespassed from the business.
At 4:13 p.m. a man reported losing his wallet at Totem Square. Police helped him find it, by retracing his steps.
At 9:22 p.m. a caller said a vehicle had been parked for a long time near the gate at Herring Cove Road. Police were unable to locate the owner.
January 29
At 1:35 a.m. a man said he’d been assaulted in the Eliason Harbor parking lot.
At 11:53 a.m. yelling was reported heard in the 200 block of Lincoln Street. Police did not find a source.
At 2:20 p.m. a welfare check was requested at a downtown bar.
At 7:39 p.m. yelling and screaming were reported heard in the 2300 block of HPR. All was quiet when officers arrived.
At 7:59 p.m. a caller reported having trouble with a juvenile son.
At 9:07 p.m. a caller reported having trouble in evicting a daughter. The caller was advised of options.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call and one false fire alarm on Friday; two ambulance calls on Saturday; and three ambulance calls Sunday.
Sitka Police
James Thompson, 46, was charged Sunday afternoon with assault.
David Rodriguez II, 35, was charged Saturday with assault in the fourth degree, domestic violence.
Ty Davis, 38, was arrested Friday on a warrant for violating conditions of release on 2020 charges of burglary, criminal mischief in the fifth degree, theft, forgery, and pre-trial violations.
