Police Blotter
The following calls were logged before 8 a.m. today:
January 30
A Cascade Creek Road resident reported her home had been burglarized.
Police talked to neighbors having disputes and found no sign of a crime.
A caller reported problems in his neighborhood, and turned in a knife a man had dropped while chasing another man. Police found no crime had been committed, and told the owner of the knife he could pick it up.
Police returned a duffel bag left at ANB Founders Hall.
At 4:33 p.m. police provided traffic control for a disabled boat on a trailer.
At 5:22 p.m. fireworks were reported on Vitskari Street. Police warned the person who set them off about the city ordinances related to fireworks.
At 9 p.m. a fight was reported at ANB Harbor. EMS was called for a woman who’d fallen and hit her head.
At 9:52 p.m. a 911 caller said a man was dragging a woman down Lake Street. Both were intoxicated but capable. Police found no sign of a crime.
Sitka Police
Glen R. Jones, 28, was arrested Monday on a warrant for failing to comply with probation instructions and violating conditions of release.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m. and 9:04 p.m. Wednesday.
