The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

January 3

At 9:58 a.m. a suicidal subject at a downtown location was logged.

At 1 p.m. a found property call came in from the post office.

At 6:55 p.m. citizen contact was made at the post office.

At 8:44 p.m. a disturbance was reported in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. An officer talked to a woman having issues and advised her of her options.

At 10:23 p.m. a report came in from a facility of sexual abuse of a minor. Police are investigating.

At 10:37 p.m. a welfare check was requested on Burkhart Drive.

 

 

Emergency Calls

 

Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call Tuesday.

Coast Guard

A helicopter from Coast Guard Air Station Sitka on Tuesday tracked down the source of an EPIRP signal to a garbage dump in Juneau.

The Air Station received the report from Sector Juneau around 2:09 p.m., flew to the area and located the source shortly afterward.
