 Housing for All

Dear Editor: The ongoing gathering of funds to make housing possible for Sitka’s unsheltered men is a joy to experience. Thank you to all who have or who will contribute. What an amazing event in our community’s history!

And we, again, want to remember with appreciation the laboring groups that came before this time: the Easter Group, Sitka Tribal group and the First Presbyterian Church members, all worked to achieve this goal and helped to open up the way that we are on here in 2022.

Our hope is that all who have contributed or hope to contribute to this housing project will come to the UAS-Sitka Campus parking lot this Saturday, Jan. 8, at noon to join in a large and glorious group photo of celebration.

Thanking each person, business and nonprofit, especially the Sitka Health Summit members, which are joining in this humanitarian effort.
