Count the Lights
Dear Editor: The downtown Revitalization Committee would like to express our heartfelt gratitude tot he following who helped make this year’s ‘‘Count the Lights and Light up Town’’ contest possible.
To Trish and Dirk White and Harry’s Custom Services for donating the printing of the Sitka By the Sea Holiday Happenings card. This card was distributed around town listing the various holiday events.
To Allen Marine for picking up the Christmas tree at Spenard Builders Supply, deliver it to St. Michael’s Cathedral and setting it up. This is never an easy process. A special thanks to Mike Matz and Mike Hornaman for all their hard work, including hanging the lights on the tree. Allen Marine is also taking down the tree.
To the Sitka Lutheran Church carolers who made our tree-lighting ceremony so special.
To the Fur Gallery for hosting the Department 56 villages in their window.
And equally as important, to all the businesses who donated to the contest. We so appreciate your efforts to make the 2nd Annual ‘‘Count the Lights and Light Up Town’’ a success.
