The following calls were recorded as of 8 a.m. today.

January 6

At 12:10 a.m. a fender bender was reported at Crescent Harbor. The owners of the two vehicles exchanged information.

At 8 a.m. the school crossing lights at HPR and Hemlock Street were reported not working.

At 9:42 a.m. a caller said a vehicle had gone onto the sidewalk in the 700 block of HPR, nearly striking him. Officers took information on it.

At 2:16 a.m. a welfare check was requested in the 1200 block of SMC.

An incident of drunkenness was reported at 2:26 p.m. at the city-state building.

January 7

At 3:34 a.m. a caller complained about noise on Darrin Drive.

At 9:25 a.m. a civil dispute was reported on Granite Creek Road.

At 1:53 p.m. a man was reported cutting trees on private property on Eagle Way.

At 11:21 p.m. a citizen was assisted at a downtown bar.

January 8

At 12:04 p.m. an animal problem was reported on Darrin Drive.

At 12:55 p.m. a driver ran into the back of a building in the 100 block of Lincoln Street. Minor damage was done to the vehicle.

At 4 p.m. a civil dispute was reported on Burkhart Drive.

At 4:55 p.m. a vehicle was reported to have broken down at the recycle center. It was to be removed.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Friday, five on Saturday and three on Sunday.

At 9:35 p.m. an unidentified odor was reported in the 4200 block of HPR. Nothing suspicious was found.

 

Sitka Police

Mary Duncan, 40, was charged Saturday  with driving under the influence.
