Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
June 30
At 12:22 a.m. a woman was reported in a parked vehicle on John Brady Drive. Officers found she was able to care for herself.
At 2:17 a.m. an employee of a Katlian Street business was reported being combative. Police stood by while he collected his belongings.
At 6:18 a.m. a juvenile was reported breaking into cars on Burkhart Drive, smashing windows and taking items. Police said about nine vehicles were damaged. An investigation is underway.
Vandals spray-painted the bus shelter at Crescent Harbor. Police were to contact public works about the situation.
Officers told a woman whose dogs had been seized that they were in the care of the city.
A 16-year-old was reported as a runaway. Police issued a bulletin.
A Bayliner 20-foot skiff was reported on its side on Cannon Island. Officers contacted the registered owner, who said it hadn’t been his boat in a long time but he would look into the situation.
An iphone was turned in at the station and placed in the property drawer.
A person in a parked car in the 700 block of HPR was reported playing loud music.
At 6:30 p.m. a caller reported ammunition in the middle of the turn lane at the post office. It was gone when police arrived.
At 10:18 p.m. a caller on Lake Street reported hearing yelling and screaming, items being thrown about, and someone shouting that the police be called. Officers found it was a domestic issue and no crime had been committed.
At 11:19 p.m. police found a parked vehicle running and with the lights on high beam. An officer dimmed the lights, and contacted the owner who said he would turn off the engine.
July 1
At 2:52 a.m. a caller reported someone had stolen her phone the night before.
At 5:22 a.m. four intoxicated men were reported yelling, puking and being loud at Crescent Harbor. Officers talked to them and found they were able to care for themselves.

Sitka Fire Department received two ambulance calls Thursday.
In Court
Charline R. Skultka, 22, on a charge of driving with a canceled, revoked or suspended license for a criminal offense was sentenced Thursday to 10 days, suspended, and fined $250, suspended. She is to be on probation for a year.
Levi D. Green, 22, on a charge of theft in the fourth degree (less than $250), was sentenced Thursday to 30 days, suspended and fined $1,000, suspended. He will be on probation for a year.

Coast Guard
The Coast Guard Air Station Sitka prepared to launch a helicopter at 9:14 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a skiff adrift in Auke Bay.
However, the launch was canceled after a man was reported to have jumped into the water from his skiff, and swum to shore to retrieve another boat to tow the skiff in. He was fine, the Coast Guard said.
