Duck Race Gathering
Dear Editor: I am compelled to thank the many, many Sitkans who gathered to watch the Rotary Duck Race, and then literally jumped in to help get the ducks downstream in what was an unusual amount of lack of water in Granite Creek.
I think the name for the day might have been Granite Rivulet. Thank you to one and all, young and old, who took the plunge to help make this annual event work. It is very appreciated, and makes Sitka the place it is. Thank you.
