Dear Editor: You know a guy is on the right track when the machine goes after him with the ferocity that they have RFK Jr. Like most of you, I didn’t know much about the man and what I thought I knew wasn’t good: anti-vax, radical left conspiracy theorist, eats dogs… In my desperation to find a candidate that wasn’t a rematch of the most unpopular candidates in our history, I did what we all should do, my own research.
Turns out, none of what I thought I knew about RFK Jr. is true. Since then, I have taken a pledge: From this day forth, sink or swim, live or die, survive or perish, I stand with my country. I stand with Kennedy. I encourage my countrymen to take 30 minutes and watch the YouTube video, “Who is Bobby Kennedy.” You will be shocked at how badly you have been lied to, and you might just change your mind and your vote.
The video enumerates the lies that have been told about RFK but does not outline his policy positions. For that information you must watch additional videos on the same channel but to quickly outline RFK’s policies:
First, Tell the Truth. Kennedy has promised to fire any government official who lies to the American People. Second, end the chronic disease epidemic that is bankrupting our country and weakening us body, mind, and spirit. Third, tackle our $34 trillion national debt (mostly created by Trump and Biden) that is now existential. The average American will never prosper with this level of inflationary debt. Fourth, end the forever wars morally and fiscally bankrupting our nation. Fifth, reignite the promise of the American dream that everyone in this country who works hard and plays by the rules can afford their own home. Sixth, and perhaps most importantly, destroy the unholy merger of corporate and government power so that the people once again have a government working for them.
As the former owner of Baranof Realty, I sold real estate in SE Alaska for more than a decade and have seen firsthand the skyrocketing costs diminishing the quality of life of our citizens. It has now reached a critical level. Kennedy makes the claim that 60% of Americans can’t lay their hands on $500 in case of an emergency. Just in the last week two different families have reached out to mine for financial help because of an emergency. You see, these hardworking, honest people couldn’t produce $500 to visit an injured loved one or decide between car insurance and a medical bill.
Neither Trump nor Biden can fix this problem because they helped create it. The RNC and DNC are the heart of corruption in our political process. Kennedy will win this election because despite it all, never count the American people out. Like generations past, we will go into the breach once more. We will lie on this field of battle exhausted, but victorious.
