Police Blotter
    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
July 11
    A survival suit covered in white and black mold, found in the 4700 block of HPR, was turned in and disposed of.
    A camo pack, water bottle and cell phone found at Totem Square were turned in. The finder said he couldn’t find any ID and the phone was locked. Dispatch was able to contact the owner’s girlfriend, and an officer took it to her.
    At 8:15 a.m. an ambulance was called for a female who slipped and fell and was bleeding at Blatchley pool.
    A man said tools were stolen from his work site on Kramer Avenue.
    Citations were issued for a driver who had parked facing traffic, on Maksoutoff Street.
    A woman said her daughter received inappropriate photos on her cell phone.
    A resident asked police to identify to a man who left his sleeping toddler in a stroller while he and another child went into a store. When questioned, the caller said the dad could probably see the toddler from inside the store.
    A caller said he lost his skateboard, which has his name, phone number and boat name on it.
    A man asked to talk to an officer regarding being assaulted at work.
    A caller said he sent money to a charter business and later found out the person he sent money to is no longer in Sitka. He was advised it was a civil matter, and told of his options.
    A domestic violence order was given to police to serve.
    A hospital asked for police help with a patient, who later agreed to stay there until transportation for him arrived.
    At 4:18 p.m. an older lady was reported skinny dipping at Sandy Beach. Officers found she was wearing a bikini.
    Police received two stalking orders to serve.
    Two residents reported the theft of guns. Police followed up.
    At 7:11 p.m. fireworks were reported heard on Islander Drive.
    At 8 p.m. a 911 caller said it appeared someone was trying to get into an unoccupied home on Kaagwaantaan. Police talked to the suspect, who said he’s supposed to be there, as he pays rent and has keys. It was found to be a civil issue, and the landlord said he and the tenant would  work it out.
    The back camper cover window was reported broken out on a truck in the 1700 block of Edgecumbe Drive, perhaps in the previous 24 hours, the owner said. Nothing appeared to be missing, he said.
    At 11:30 p.m. a Harvest Way resident complained about someone talking too loudly on a phone outside. Police said they were on a higher priority call but would patrol through the area afterward.
July 12
    At 6:24 a.m. a caller said a truck was blocking her driveway on Lake Street. She didn’t want to go outside to check the license plate, so an officer did so, and told neighbors to move the vehicle. They said they would work on it.

       
Sitka Police
    Ann M. Morris, 35, was arrested Thursday on a charge of driving under the influence and violating release conditions, and cited for driving with a revoked license.
   
Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 12:37 p.m. and 2:04 p.m. Thursday.
    At 1:40 p.m. Thursday a fire truck was asked to stand by while a company quickly cleaned up fuel from a spill at 613 Katlian Street, the fire hall said.
