Path of Hope Park

Dear Editor: On behalf of the Sitka Cancer Survivor Society we wish to give a big thanks to Sarah Lawrie and her awesome Sitka AmeriCorps Volunteers. On May 25, they joyfully raked, weeded, fertilized, trimmed, pruned bushes, and cleaned and polished the aluminum books at the Path of Hope Park. This work was all done under the leadership of Sarah Lawrie, Mike Colliver, and Aleks Peratrovich. Wayne Dye and Linda Janacek were also a huge help that day as well.

The park looks beautiful and we hope it can stay that way for a long time, but we need all of your help to keep the park clean and beautiful for all to enjoy. Please clean up any litter you any see. If you don’t know where the park is, it is located next to Lower Moller Field. We will be happy to take any money donations earmarked for help with the maintenance at the park, as we do have miscellaneous expenses throughout the years.

Thanks again,
