Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

July 13

At 4:24 a.m. a caller on Andrew P. Hope Street reported a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood. It was found to be a loud truck.

At 8:27 a.m. an apartment manager asked for help in removing a tenant who was resisting eviction.

At 10 a.m. an officer gave a verbal warning to people trying to remove traffic barricades at Lake and Lincoln streets. Police are reminding businesses and the owners of autos parked downtown that the area is closed to vehicular traffic on days when as many as 4,000 cruise ship passengers may be visiting.

At 11:06 a.m. a bicycle that was in a rack but not locked at the Swan Lake Terrace Apartments was stolen.

At 12:39 p.m. a fender bender was reported at Totem Park. The drivers were given self-report forms.

A woman asked for assistance after a domestic problem arose involving her boyfriend. Police contacted both.

At 2:43 p.m. police performed a standby while a woman was evicted from an apartment.

At 3:27 p.m. police stood by while a woman was removed from a hotel per a court order.

At 3:27 p.m. a man who was sleeping in the airport terminal was awakened and sent outside.

At 4:30 p.m. a truck was reported to have dropped rocks onto the highway in the 400 block of SMC, posing a traffic hazard. Officers removed the rocks remaining after a cleanup.

At 5:48 p.m. officers stood by while a man was taken to his residence, per a court order.

At 7:09 p.m. an officer noted overflowing trash containers at the Sitka Sound cruise terminal.

At 8:19 p.m. two woman at Raptor Way and SMC were reported having a dispute about a dog. The animal control officer was notified.

A key fob found on Seward Street was turned in to police.

At 11:23 p.m. adults at the skate park were told it was after curfew.

July 14

At 12:38 a.m. a physical fight between two individuals was reported in the 2800 block of HPR. They were gone when officers arrived.

At 2:42 a.m. an intoxicated woman was reported on the street in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. She refused medical services.

Sitka Fire Department received six ambulance calls and one false alarm fire call Wednesday.
