Police Blotter
    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
July 12
    A deer carcass found at 2700 HPR was taken to the Raptor Center.
    STA reported a burglary.
    TSA said it found a 112-gram  bag of pot in checked luggage. Police found it was an herbal supplement.
      A resident said a caller allegedly at Social Security threatened to sue.
    A .270 Meuser bolt action rifle was reported stolen during the spring.
    A boat trailer was reported stolen from Eagle Beach.
    A caller said a woman with black eyes and bruising had told the caller her boyfriend had hit her. Officers said she couldn’t give clear answers due to her level of intoxication.
    A man at Pioneer Park blew a .316 PBT  and was taken to a hospital.
    At 10 p.m. a caller reported fireworks going off in the 700 block of Lake Street and hearing a scream after the last one. Officers found no one.
      At 10:28 p.m. a caller said a man was walking in the road in the 1500 block of SMC yelling obscenities.
July 13
    An officer turned in cash found at 200 Lincoln St.
    At 1:31 a.m. fireworks were reported in the Marine-Seward area.
    At 1:36 a.m. a caller reported fireworks on DeGroff Street were causing his guide dog to have seizures. Citing the Americans with Disabilities Act, he said he would take his complaint to the city. He was told officers were trying to locate the source.
    At 3:39 a.m. a fight was reported at 1318 SMC. An intoxicated couple said it had been verbal only.
    At 5:09 a.m. a caller said men were being loud at Crescent parking. They agreed to leave after police came.
    A bike was reported stolen at 808 Lake St.
    At 2:28 p.m. a caller said a man with no shirt on yelled at a girl, pushed her then began following her, in the 800 block of Lincoln. Officers talked to a man and his daughter and were told he’d been trying to explain something to his daughter.
    A resident reported being harassed via text and social media by a female who had recently moved away.
    At 4:45 p.m. a 911 caller reported hearing a gun being cocked and a man saying “Someone’s gonna die,” at Eagle Beach. Officers talked to a male and a female and found no evidence of a crime.
    At 6:26 p.m. a caller said fireworks were set off at 1709 HPR;  bottle rockets were shot off from the top of Shelikof; and fireworks were shot off in the 1300 block of HPR.
    At 7:39 p.m. a caller said three teens were setting off fireworks on Eagle Beach.
    At 8 p.m. a hotel on Seward said guests heard fireworks in the night.
    A 911 caller said a man was in distress at the airport. EMS was called.
    At 10:22 p.m. a caller in the 4400 block of HPR reported hearing fireworks for a half hour.
July 14
    At 1:06 a.m. the Pioneers Home reported fireworks in the area.
    At 1:12 a.m. a caller on Andrew P. Hope Street reported hearing a gunshot.
    At 2 a.m. a downtown hotel said guests were complaining of loud music and noise from bars.
    At 11:13 a.m. a dead land otter was found on Maksoutoff Street. A Wildlife officer took it.
       A tourist lost a camera bag with camera, lens and day calendar inside.
    Two reported fighting in the 3100 block of HPR stopped fighting and told officers all was well.
    An EMS crew was sent to a boat on a medical emergency.
      Police told a man of his options in dealing with his partner’s ex-husband.
     At 3:42 p.m. a man was reported looking into cars at Eliason Harbor.
    A boat owner at Sealing Cove sought a criminal trespass warning.
    The owner of an aggressive husky on Lakeview Drive picked up the dog as police were arriving.
July 15
    At 2:14 a.m. a caller said two people who’d been on her property were now driving back and forth. Police told the two to stop.
    An intoxicated man on Katlian Street was taken to the hospital.

Sitka Police
    Derek Daly, 28, was arrested on two felony warrants out of Anchorage Saturday for failure to appear with an original charge of theft in the second degree; and charged with resisting arrested and remanded on a probation violation.
    Karly Fuller, 25, was arrested Sunday on a charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance in the third degree and violating conditions of release. She was arrested on a felony warrant for failing to comply with conditions of probation, and also remanded for probation violation.

Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Department dispatched four ambulances Friday, nine Saturday, and eight on Sunday.
