Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
July 14
At 12:04 a.m. a caller reported three men were breaking into a vehicle in the 200 block of Marine Street. Officers talked to three men at Osprey and Marine streets but found nothing was missing and no damage.
At 1:19 a.m. a bear was reported on Granite Creek Road.
At 3:31 a.m. a bear was reported on Kincroft Way.
At 4:40 a.m. trespassing was reported at Sealing Cove.
At 10:21 a.m. suspicious activity was reported on Burkhart Street.
At 1:15 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Lake Street.
At 1:54 p.m. a disturbance was reported on Naomi Kanosh Lane.
At 2:29 p.m. a domestic problem was reported to police.
At 2:33 p.m. a theft was reported on Katlian Street.
A caller reported fraud to police at 5:44 p.m.
At 7:48 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the1800 block of HPR.
At 11:03 p.m. an incident of drunkenness was reported near the 400 block of Katlian Street.
July 15
Citizen contact was made at a business in the 1300 block of SMC.
At 8:01 a.m. a civil dispute arose in the 4700 block of HPR.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received five ambulance calls Wednesday.
At 6:22 p.m. a boat on a trailer was reported on fire at 1403 HPR. The boat was a total loss, a Sitka Fire Department spokesman said, and put the cost at $15,000. Cause of the fire, an apparent accident, is under investigation, the spokesman said.
In Court
Leonty Williams, 29, was found to have violated conditions of probation and the court ordered his probation revoked and reimposed. However, all time had been served. He is to complete intensive out patient treatment.
Kim J. Betzina, 69, of Petersburg, on a Fish and Game charge of unlawful tention of an undersized king salmon was fined $1,500 with $1,000 suspended. He is to pay restitution of $150 for each of the kings seized, and will be on probation for one year.
Carson C. Grant, 18, on a Fish and Game charge of unlawful gear for fishing for Dungeness crab was fined $1,000 with $500 suspended, He will be on probation for one year.
Jason Patrick Williams, 47, of Vashon, Washington, on a Fish and Game charge of using sport-caught fish as bait was fined $150.
