Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.

July 18

At 3 a.m. a protection order violation was reported to police. No arrest was made.

At 7:13 a.m. a mother reported her 16-year-old child hadn’t yet returned home from an overnight at a friend’s home. About18 minutes later she called back to say the child was home.

A Visa card was turned in.

At 10:08 a.m. a caller reported having found a female brown and orange cat with long hair, in the 1200 block of Edgecumbe Drive, and said she’d hold onto it until the owner is located.

Alaska Seaplanes reported the theft of fuel. An investigation is underway.

At 11:08 a.m. a woman was reported creating a disturbance behind the Swan Lake Terrace Apartments. She left then came back and was trespassed.

A duffle bag with plastic bags was found in the 300 block of Seward Street. Police disposed of it.

A young male told an officer at the police station that he was a runaway. He was returned to his residence.

A brown and gray older, medium size male dog was left at the animal shelter.

At 11:38 p.m. a woman who seemed distressed was reported on the O’Connell Bridge. Police found nothing criminal had occurred but advised her to keep  the noise down.

July 19

At 6:33 a.m. a caller complained about loud music in a car at the O’Connell Bridge. Officers told the woman in the car to keep the noise down.
