Police Blotter
    Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:
July 1
    At 9:23 a.m. a bus broke down at the round-about.
    A window was shot with a BB gun at Sitka Community Hospital.
      At 12:53 p.m. an Andrews Street resident said two people were pounding on her door. Officers saw no one.
    At 1:47 p.m. a man was found passed out on a bench, a bottle of vodka at hand, in the 400 block of Harbor Drive. He was uncooperative, and was driven to the hospital.
    A caller said she was in Cedar Cove at Katlian around 2 p.m. when she saw someone waving an orange flag on the beach, and when she headed toward them to see if they needed help, she heard gunshots and felt they were toward her boat. The emergency response vessel with medical help aboard was to be sent to the area.
    An injured cat was reported at 3 p.m. in the 1200 block of SMC.
    At 4:16 p.m. a patient with a dog bite was reported at the hospital.
    An injured eagle was reported in the 2000 block of HPR at 4:18 p.m.
    At 4:28 p.m. a bike rider fell at 800 Lincoln Street. EMS was refused and family members gave her a ride.
    A tired, thirsty, hungry dog was found on Georgeson Loop. It was left at the shelter.
    At 6:08 p.m. a caller said a neighbor was yelling at his kids. Officers talked to the father and two little girls, who were happy and doing fine.
    At 8:11 p.m. a driver called 911 to report a passenger having a meltdown and possibly on drugs.
    At 8:26 p.m. a caller said two kids climbed over a Georgeson Loop fence to the water tower, but they returned before police arrived.
    Officers euthanized a cat found at 1000 SMC that apparently was hit by a car and had a broken back.
    At 11:35 p.m. a 911 caller said her adult son was drinking, being verbally abusive and not returning her credit card. Police talked to them and the son returned the card, and agreed to leave his mom alone.
July 2
    At 12:54 a.m. a bar said some men were getting heated and a fight might ensue. Officers found it was a verbal dispute. One of the men left.
    At 2 a.m. a 911 caller said a drunk man had passed out on a bench on Katlian Street. An ambulance was called.

Emergency Calls
    Sitka Fire Hall received requests for emergency medical help four times Monday afternoon.

Coast Guard
    On Monday night, a Coast Guard Air Station Sitka helicopter medevacked an 80-year-old woman with abdominal pain from the Gambier Bay cabin on the east side of Admiralty Island, to Juneau for medical help.
