Thank You
Dear Editor: On July 19, my family and I were out of town when our sweet goldendoodle Lela was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the crosswalk at Halibut Point Road and Katlian Street. She sustained multiple injuries and later died.
We would like to thank the kind persons who cared enough to stop and render help to Lela. We would like to especially give thanks to our caring sitter who, along with her friends, tried to catch her as she ran out the door to go find her way back home to her family. They stayed with Lela and helped Dr. Hunt for three hours as he attempted to save her. Dr. Hunt, we also appreciate all that you did for Lela. She will be greatly missed.
