Boat Sinks

The 46-foot F/V Zarembo sank at Eliason Harbor Saturday morning, and was being disposed of this morning.

Deputy Harbormaster Jeremiah Johnson said some diesel oil was spilled and absorbent materials were laid out. Police said the Coast Guard was notified.

Because wood on the boat was rotten, the owner decided to dispose of it, Johnson said. It was towed to the launch ramp, and today its parts were separated for disposal.
