Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:

July 24

At 12:27 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of DeGroff Street.

At 1:23 a.m. an assault was reported at a medical facility.

An animal problem was reported on Vitskari Street at 1:28 a.m.

 A theft was reported at a downtown bar.

At 11 a.m. citizen contact was made at the Baranof St. trailhead.

An agency assist was made in the 400 block of Lake
Street.

Civil disputes were reported  in the 2700 block of HPR at 4 p.m. and at an HPR trailer court at 5:25 p.m.

Citizen contact was made on Harbor Mt. Road at 5:38 p.m.

At 8:21 p.m. a traffic accident with damage was reported in the 300 block of Katlian.

July 25

Civil disputes were reported at 1 a.m. on Anna Circle and 4:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of HPR.

A report of drunkenness at Jeff Davis and Lincoln Street came in at 8:51 a.m.

A report of fraud is under investigation.

At 4 p.m. a report of a theft in the 1200 block of HPR was filed.

At 4 p.m. a burglary was reported at a church on HPR. Followup calls were made at 4:43 a.m. and 9 a.m. July 26.

A domestic problem was reported at 8:18 p.m. on Burkhart Street.

July 26

Littering was reported in the 300 block of Harbor Drive at 9:24 a.m.

At 4 p.m. a suicidal subject was reported in the Sitka area.

At 9:43 p.m. a disturbance was reported at a hotel.

At 10:19 p.m. a report of harassment on Burkhart Street was logged.

At 11:31 p.m. a caller reported suspicious activity at Eliason Harbor.

July 27

At 12:17 a.m. criminal mischief was reported in the 4100 block of HPR.

At 12:26 a.m. a bear was reported getting into garbage in the 901 block of Lincoln Street.

At 1:37 a.m. and 3:58 a.m. bear citations were issued at two residences on Andrew P. Hope Streets; at 4:04 a.m. one was issued at a residence on Thomas Young Street; and at 4:08 a.m. one was issued on Rudolph Walton Drive.

 

Sitka Police

Jack Joseph, 30, was charged with driving with a revoked license and two counts of violating conditions of release.

Colton Cummins, 22, was charged with domestic violence, criminal mischief, in the fourth degree.

 

Emergency Calls

Sitka Fire Department received three ambulance calls Friday, three on Saturday and two on Sunday.

 

At 5:16 p.m. Friday, an engine was sent to 200 Flume Circle where burned food had caused alarm.
