Police received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today:

July 27

At 12:17 a.m. criminal mischief was reported in the 4100 block of HPR.

At 12:26 a.m. a bear was reported getting into garbage in the 901 block of Lincoln Street.

At 1:37 a.m. and 3:58 a.m. bear citations were issued at two residences on Andrew P. Hope Streets; at 4:04 a.m. one was issued at a residence on Thomas Young Street; and at 4:08 a.m. one was issued on Rudolph Walton Drive.

At 11 a.m. a theft was reported at Eliason Harbor.

At 2:44 p.m. a bicycle theft was reported on Georgeson Loop.

A disturbance occurred in the 100 block of Lincoln Street at 3 p.m.

A caller reported suspicious activity on the Cross Trail at 6:45 p.m.

July 28

At 12:18 a.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 1200 block of SMC.

A case of drunkenness was logged at a downtown bar at 12:34 a.m.

Suspicious activity was reported at a downtown hotel at 2:30 a.m.

A citizen assist was reported in the 400 block of Marine Street at 3:19 a.m.

Sitka Fire Department received ambulance calls at 5:06 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 7:54 p.m. and 10:55 p.m. Monday, and 3:42 a.m., 6:10 a.m. and 7:27 a.m. today.
