Golf Tournament
Dear Editor: The Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce owes a huge thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who helped to make the 5th Annual Sitka Chamber Golf Tournament such a success. Our Marquee Sponsor for the tournament was Alaska Communications, and this year our Hole In One Sponsor was ConocoPhillips and our Birdie Sponsors were GCI and Wells Fargo. Without our primary event sponsors, the tournament would not be the success that it is each year. Thank you so much!
In addition to our primary sponsors, we also had eleven Hole and Contest Sponsors this year. These businesses, Alaska Commercial Company, Allen Marine, ALPS Federal Credit Union, Channel Club, Ernie’s Old Time Saloon, Shee Atiká Inc., Silver Bay Seafoods, Sitka Convention and Visitors Bureau, Sitka Sound Seafoods, Spenard Builders Supply and Westmark Sitka, also need recognition for their incredibly generous contribution and a huge thank you as well!
Our lunch this year, expertly prepared by Chef Larry, was fresh king salmon donated by Seafood Producers Cooperative. Many sponsors also donated prizes and fun items for our golfer goodie bags, adding much excitement to the event! We would like to extend a special thank you to Aurora Business Supplies, First National Bank Alaska, Sitka Chamber Board President Ptarmica McConnell, Seaview Bed and Breakfast, Shee Atiká Inc., the Nugget Restaurant, the Pub, Totem Square Hotel and Marina, Westmark Sitka and White’s Inc. Thank you all for your generous contributions!
Last, but definitely not least, we couldn’t have done it without the hard work of the Sea Mountain Golf Course committee and staff or the Sitka Chamber of Commerce board of directors, who worked tirelessly to organize yet another tremendously successful Sitka Chamber event.
And finally, the Sitka Chamber board of directors and I would like extend a big thank you to everyone who attended this year’s golf tournament, contributed to the fun, and so generously support their local Chamber. We hope to see you again next year at the 6th Annual Sitka
Chamber Golf Tournament!
