Police received the following calls by 8 a.m. today:

At 8:28 a.m. dispatch received a 911 hangup call. A man called back on his cell phone and said his now ex-girlfriend probably called as he was leaving and had told her to get out of his house. Officers called the woman, who said she may have called 911, and that she was moving out of the house.
Ferry personnel said a vehicle had been in the parking lot for more than a week. Dispatch talked to the vehicle owner, who said he’d left on the ferry for Juneau and Haines and hadn’t been able to get back when planned because of the ferry issues. He said he’d just flown in and would be getting the vehicle. He was advised for future reference overnight parking isn’t allowed.
Lakeside reported an intoxicated man was eating food in the deli and not paying for it. Officers contacted the man, the bill was settled, and the man was left in the care of a responsible adult.

An iPhone X in a black otter box case was reported lost.
At  4:54 p.m. a caller said an  intoxicated man fell in the street at 601 HPR and was now on the ground, where a bike rider was trying to help him. The man said he had a shoulder injury and asked for an ambulance
At 5:12 p.m. a caller said a bear was in the middle of Knutson Drive, headed uphill. Officers were advised.
At 5:56 p.m. a caller said an intoxicated man on a bike keeps falling down, in the 600 block of HPR. Officers found the man was intoxicated but able to care for himself. He agreed to walk his bike, not try to ride it.
At 6:16 p.m. a caller said he’d taken a cab to an establishment and the driver left with about $2,000 worth of his property. When he called the cab to have him come back, the driver said he had to go to the airport, the caller said.  Police heard what sounded like a scuffle over the phone. An officer responded and charges of disorderly conduct are to be forwarded.
A caller turned in a phone found on her tour, and a few minutes later a woman arrived at the police station, described the phone, told where she’d lost it, and unlocked it. The phone was returned to her.
At 10:31 p.m. a caller reported hearing fighting at a neighbor’s residence on Price Street and a woman screaming “get out.” Officers found a man and woman asleep. Disorderly conduct warnings were given to both.
