Sitka Police Department received the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
July 6
At 2:41 a.m. a bear was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.
Suspicious activity was reported on Verstovia Avenue at 3 a.m.
At 3:06 a.m. two men were reported at Castle Hill. Officers told the two, who apparently were from out of town, that it was after-hours at the park.
At 3:26 a.m. a caller in the 1900 block of HPR reported seeing two individuals peeking around his boat, hiding, then running for Sandy Beach. Officers were unable to locate them.
A traffic complaint came in from HPR and Moller Drive at 8:48 a.m.
At 9:46 a.m. citizen contact was made in the 200 block of Katlian.
A report of elder abuse was logged.
At 11:28 a.m. a traffic complaint came in from the 1700 block of HPR.
A welfare check was requested in the 200 block of Katlian at 12:45 p.m.
At 4:02 p.m. an animal problem was reported on Kiksadi Court.
A parking problem was reported at 7:40 p.m. on Seward Street.
At 10:09 p.m. a citizen contact was logged at the skate park.
July 7
Incidents of drunkenness were reported in the 200 block of Katlian at 1:44 a.m., on Kaagwaantaan Street at 2:31 a.m. and at Eliason Harbor at 6:03 a.m.
