Sitka Police Department logged the following calls as of 8 a.m. today.
July 7
A caller from out of town asked police to check on the welfare of a juvenile who is with a guardian. Officers checked and found all was fine.
Kids looking for a lost bike asked whether it was in the police impound lot. It was not.
At 1:34 p.m. officers assisted the adult probation office.
A wallet found at Price Street and SMC was turned in. Police were unable to contact the owner.
Another wallet turned in at the station, at 7:36 p.m. also was placed in the property drawer.
At 8:06 p.m. a caller said a neighbor’s dog was trying to get inside the house. The neighbor was contacted, and was to return to let the dog in.
At 9 p.m. a caller reported thefts from his home, including a beaver cowboy hat.
At 9:25 p.m. a man talked to police about a custody agreement.
At 10:06 p.m. a caller reported a door was open at a downtown business. Officers found someone was still working there.
At 10:42 p.m. a woman reported being harassed. She was advised of her options.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received six ambulance calls Thursday. At 8:28 p.m. it got a call from the Russian Bishop’s House but it was a false alarm.
