May 28
At 4:01 a.m. a citizen assist at the animal shelter was logged.
At 10:16 a.m. a kayak was reported missing at Sealing Cove. It was returned to the owner later.
At 10:17 a.m. a dispute was reported over a price on a garage sale item.
At 5:45 p.m. a civil dispute was reported on Spruce Street.
At 8:34 p.m. suspicious activity was reported on New Archangel Street.
May 29
At 1:24 a.m. a security check was requested in the 100 block of Lincoln Street.
At 9:52 a.m. a bear was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.
At 5:25 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 2100 block of HPR.
Complaints about barking dogs came in at 5:41 p.m. from the 2100 block of HPR, and at 6:14 p.m. from DeArmond Street.
At 9:27 p.m. a disturbance was reported in the 4500 block of HPR.
At 10:35 p.m. a caller complained of loud music in the 2900 block of SMC. An officer advised the residents to lower the volume.
May 30
At 8:46 a.m. a dog was reported missing at a downtown apartment. The owner claimed it an hour later.
At 10:38 a.m. someone with mental issues was reported at Eliason Harbor.
Suspicious activity was reported on Cascade Creek Road at 1:35 p.m.
Animal calls came in at 3:21 p.m. from Finn Alley, where chickens were reported running at large; and at 3:55 p.m. from the library, where a miniature Aussie had followed someone. It was taken to the police station, where the owner claimed it.
At 4:55 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 1800 block of HPR.
A family fight was reported at 5:13 p.m. in the Indian River Road area.
A traffic accident with damage was reported on Biorka Street at 5:52 p.m.
At 6:42 p.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 3200 block of HPR.
At 10 p.m. a bear was reported on Andrew P. Hope Street.
Citizen assist calls were logged at 10:16 p.m. from downtown and at 10:18 p.m. from the 1500 block of HPR.
May 31
At 1:53 a.m. a door on a parked vehicle was found open at the Presbyterian Church. An officer closed it.
At 2:06 a.m. a disturbance was reported in the 400 block of DeGroff Street.
At 6:03 a.m. suspicious activity was reported in the 400 block of Marine Street.
At 8:36 a.m. a welfare check was requested at Herring Cove.
At 8:54 a.m. citizen contact was made at the Blue Lake Campground.
At 11:49 a.m. trespassing was reported on Anna Drive.
At 12:04 p.m. a yellow Lab was reported running off-leash at Herring Cove Road. It was gone when officers arrived.
At 12:52 p.m. a possibly suicidal person was reported.
At 1:37 p.m. an agency assist was requested at the Indian River foot bridge.
At 1:47 p.m. an agency assist was logged at the Totem Park visitors center.
At 2:10 p.m. a window on a parked car was found broken out in the 200 block of Marine Street.
At 5:55 p.m. a welfare check was requested in the 600 block of Monastery Street.
At 9:38 p.m. a citizen assist was requested on Andrew P. Hope Street.
Sitka Police
Jack See, 32, was charged Saturday with driving while his license was revoked.
Peggy Lindberg, 50, was arrested Saturday on two warrants for failure to appear in court.
Cheryl Neyman, 60, was arrested Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear in court.
Thomas Bartlett, 32, was charged Monday with misconduct involving weapons in the third degree.
Emergency Calls
Sitka Fire Department received one ambulance call Friday, five on Saturday, six on Sunday and one on Monday.
